With an approximate 70% home ownership rate in Canada, the appreciation of home values has created a big wealth effect for the majority of Canadians. It is concerning that first-time home buyers are getting squeezed out of the market. Nonetheless there is no indication of a market slowdown at this time. I am seeing strong demand and very low inventory.
