The number of cancelled listings in the greater Ottawa area:
Oct 25th 2022 – Nov 24th 2022 – 696
Oct 25th 2021 – Nov 24th 2021 – 300
Oct 25th 2020 – Nov 24th 2020 – 281
Oct 25th 2019 – Nov 24th 2019 – 251
The number of cancelled listings have doubled as compared to the same time last year. Why?
There are a few factors causing this:
1. Properties are cancelled and then relisted at a lower price.
2. Properties are taken off the market.
From my experience and observations the first factor is the main contributor to the increase in canceled listings.
